The Rose City Astronomers club is working to
establish relationships with other astronomy clubs around the world.
Sister club relationships are an important
part of our club’s activities. They are established with active
and organized astronomy clubs with whom RCA has a history of contact,
exchange and/or personal relationships with members that motivates
members of both clubs to commit to a moderate level of exchange
necessary to continue and strengthen the arrangement.
We look forward to these relationships. We
believe they will give our members opportunities to learn the night
skies the world over and to meet other passionate amateur observers and
develop lasting friendships. We expect these relationships to grow and
mature over time, and as they do, our knowledge of Earth and Sky will
continue to expand.

Our first Sister Club to join with us
is the
GAMA (Grupo de Astronomos Mendocinos Aficionados)
club located in Mendoza, Argentina.
In September of 2006 a group of 19 RCA members
went to Argentina and were treated to a great time by the GAMA group.
Three members of GAMA came to Oregon for ALCON 2007 and OSP in August of
2007. In February and December of 2008 Jan Keiski visited the GAMA.
