The RCA New-Member Orientation is open to all
members. We will give a quick overview of all the benefits that come from
being a Rose City Astronomer, and general joys of being an amateur
astronomer. We all began as a newbie once; We will share
some of our memories of getting into this fine hobby and into the RCA in
particular.
Next Meeting on March 15th, 2010 at 6:30pm
in the OMSI Planetarium.
The topic will be "Popular RCA
Observing Sites". We'll be presenting information on the sites commonly
used by RCA members either individually or in groups. It'll cover
location, amenities, advantages and disadvantages of each. Now is the
beginning of the observing season, and this will be a blatant attempt to
encourage anyone who hasn't done so to get out and use these sites!
There will be plenty of time for Q & A, so if
you've got questions, bring them to the
next new members' meeting.
