Larry Deal
1955-2010

Larry joined the Rose City Astronomers in January 1999 and had been an active member for the past 11 years. He volunteered for the Rosette Gazette Newsletter editor position in April of 2003 and continued as editor through March of 2010.

In September 2005 he received an honorable mention for the Astronomical League’s Mabel Stearns Award which recognizes astronomy newsletter excellence. 

In 2007 he won first place for the Mabel Stearns award for his work on the Rosette Gazette.
