Mr. Pugh will discuss this research and bring some of his extensive collection of meteorites to the RCA this month. The RCA and their families will have the  opportunity to handle and examine these rare and highly valued specimens.

The Rose City Astronomers club is located in Portland, Oregon and is the largest amateur astronomy club in the Pacific Northwest. In partnership with OMSI the RCA supports educational activities such as public star parties, telescope workshops, Astronomy Day and other celestial events and gatherings.

Light Pollution Symposium

This symposium is designed to initiate a discourse on light pollution - its menace to a sustainable Portland Metropolitan Area - and the measures available to reduce its adverse effects.
